Building in Public: Our Q1 Roadmap

Building in Public: Our Q1 Roadmap

We believe in building in public. Not just shipping features, but sharing why we're building them and how we're approaching the work.

Q1 Priorities

After reviewing feedback and usage data, we've identified three focus areas for this quarter:

1. Editor Performance

The editor should feel instant. We're targeting < 100ms response time for all common operations, even with large documents.

2. Publishing Workflow

Scheduling, preview links, and collaborative review are coming. Writers shouldn't need to coordinate via Slack just to publish a post.

3. Analytics Foundation

Understanding what resonates with readers helps you write better. We're building privacy-respecting analytics that give you insights without tracking individuals.

How We Prioritize

Every feature request goes through the same evaluation:

  1. Impact — How many users does this affect? How much time does it save?

  2. Effort — Can we ship a useful version quickly, or does it require months of work?

  3. Alignment — Does this fit our vision of a focused, fast publishing tool?

We say no to a lot of good ideas. Not because they're bad, but because focus is a feature too.

People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas.
